Well, what I can say about him, Dr Rens is the Best! He took such good care of me. I am a Vietnam Vet, the war was hard on me so I started self medicating while I was in Vietnam. I was a alcoholic and drug addict for 30 years. These bad habits destroyed my teeth. With a strong determination I became clean and sober. All of my teeth were bad and broken, in extreme need of repair. An acquaintance of mine was listening to the radio and heard Dr. Rens commercial. I immediately called to make an appointment. Just a few words about Dr. Rens,

I first heard his add on the radio some months back, I went to see Dr. Rens and he asked me what I wanted to do.

I told him that I wanted to be able to put a great big smile on my face without being conscious about my teeth. After a few months in his hands (and his great staff) they transformed me to a pretty handsome fella. My confidence in dealing with people has multiplied 10 fold. After suffering at least a year and undergoing many diagnostic test by other medical doctors, Dr Rens was immediately able upon my first visit to identify the source of my pain and associated problems of TMJ dysfunction.

I was also diagnosed with myofacial pain syndrome that was adversely affecting many aspects of my health. A treatment plan was embarked upon that very day. As my treatment progressed, the quality of my life was restored, not to mention my smile which is greater than ever.

It was about 15 years ago when one day I noticed my tennis partner sending a lot of smiles to me and to our opponents on the court. I could not help asking her, after we won our match, why she looked so radiant. Again, she smiled at me. I thought she may have had a great face lift. Karen was in her seventies, so why not. She said, my teeth, can you see?! I looked at her teeth, and did not notices any difference between before and now, except, I now noticed, what great teeth she had at her age. She said, they are new! I said what?! My teeth, she said, Dr. Robert Rens, he is the best.

This is a true story, two days later I had my appointment in his office in La Jolla. I still see him now, travel to Palm Springs, where he had moved to after he had done my teeth. I would travel to the East Coast, if he was there. I remember, I lived in Tokyo, and one of my teeth acted up, I flew all the way to Germany to see my dentist.

One Sunday, Dr. Rens came to my home to cement a bridge that had come off after five years of hard work, chewing. For all these years, Dr. Rens was always there when I needed him, and did I! Still, now and again, he has done work that I could not get another dentist to endeavored or was able to do. He rescued every worthy tooth, placed state of the art implants, where needed, and the bridge looks like Karen's, really real. I love to smile, on and off the court..... and people say to me, "You look so much nicer, when you smile". Dr. Rens, thank you again and again, and I will say what Karen said, " Dr. Rens, he is the best!!"

My Tooth Miracle

After being examined and xrayed by three dentist, I was sent to a Periodontist for his opinion of a problem with a front tooth. All four doctors agreed that extraction was my only option. This was an option I was not happy with and I was very distraute. I wanted to desperately save all my teeth. I remembered an ad on the radio about Dr Robert Rens, so I found his phone number and called to make an appointment. My emergency appointment was at 9:00am, when I left...My Tooth Had Been Saved! Having been in the entertainment industry most of my life there really are not enough words to sing Dr Rens praises. To me he is truly a miracle worker...what that really means is he is absolutely the best Dentist I have ever seen and I am 82 years of age. I have other teeth that need saving and there is absolutely no other dentist I will ever go to again. Thank you Dr Rens and your wonderful staff.
